Crystal The Hedgehog

Here she is! Her colors are a bit on the neutral side in this picture but they are normally a bit brighter So here's what I did...(I made her colors a tad darker because it fits her personality, I feel like Amy,Cream,Sonic,Tails, and even Knuckles colors are bright and it fits their personalities well since they're pretty bold with who they are as characters. Crystal is more mellow)


Design

I thought there was too much unnecessary gold pieces and it overpowered the outfit. I didn't want her to have too much gold bands around her without any purpose, and I didn't want her to look like she was apart of Sonic boom either so I removed them and kept the original leather straps that I designed before. A lot of you liked 4 and 5, so I tried combining the two together. I kept the gold belt around her waste because I plan on that being a necessary aspect of her abilities, I also connected the band to her boots as well and her gloves. If you look close you can see the tiny tabs that are located just beneath the cuffs. In this picture, the cuffs on her gloves are also gold and her eyes have a gold tint as well, this is because her powers are currently activated! Normally the cuffs would be the darker maroon color. As far as the boots are concerned, I took away the gold and purple because I felt it was just too much, I wanted her boots to be as simple as possible without being too plain and I think I accomplished that pretty well!

*I REPEAT! the cuffs on her gloves are normally maroon, not gold when her powers aren't activated.*


Abilities

This is where the gold comes in, all the gold on her is specially magnetized to help her make rock/crystaline formations. I'll be drawing a picture of her in action soon but basically when her powers are activated she can form platforms to elevate herself, block attacks, create diversions, etc. Her powers are effective both offensively and defensively. The flaw? They're rock formations. If she's in an environment where everything is artificial, she can't use those powers, the environment has to be natural and the ground can't me titanium or metal. (The only exception is when she has a purple crystal, the same one she is powered with) it's almost like what a chaos emerald is to Sonic. In short, her powers are more effective defensively. 

A side note, Crystal is 18 and she's stubborn. All she wants to do is become stronger but creating and manipulating solid rock is hard to do, she fails if she gets nervous or unfocused and her already weak formations crumble to the ground. It takes a lot of energy to keep them steady as well as being able to disconnect from them. This just means for example she can't shoot a rock out of the ground (easily) and just have it be there without her powering it. Every formation she creates, she's connected to and has to maintain with her energy. 

I'm connecting Crys to Blare because I originally had her apart of Sonic's group but never fully developed her. She's friends with them and she's constantly training and trying to better with her powers. She can get discouraged at some times so there is an instance where Eggman is able to bribe her with the "power of the chaos emeralds" in order to make her stronger. He manipulates her and ends up putting her against her friends. DUNDUNDUN....
